Morley Winery sits at 1200 ft. elevation on the south and
southwest facing slopes of Bennett Ridge and has 20 acres
of vines planted to Bordeaux varietals. The soils are
rocky volcanic cobbles with excellent drainage and the
vines were planted in 2002 and 2003 on 6 x 4 spacing. Our
friend Philippe Melka, who is a winemaker, a viticulturist
and a geologist, has helped us with every aspect of the
project from the site selection, selection of clones and
rootstocks, vine-row orientation, winery design and the
making of our first wine this fall.
